Our history

Gheda Petfood company was founded in 1920, as a pasta factory for human consumption.

Our inspiration and mission was to search for high quality nutrition following the same care used in the human grade products. We still keep focusing on the satisfaction of the specific nutritional needs of pets: this is our key concept for achieving a healthy, controlled, and balanced diet.

In 1975 we started the production of pasta products for pets, choosing to be the pioneers in this field. Converting the production of pasta from human to animal consumption – while maintaining the same quality standards for our four-legged friends, thanks to the qualified, ten-year experience in pasta production – seemed a visionary choice.

Our commitment for animal nutrition has quickly been appreciated by the final consumers, thus establishing a relationship that has been consolidated over time. Now we are in the position to offer a wide range of products that can be summarized in three large families: extruded products, pasta products and biscuit products.
