What are the analytical components?

The analytical components represent nutritional information found in the food and include: proteins – fats – fibre – ashes. Some terms such as “raw” or “ashes” are a legal requirement and derive from the terminology used in laboratories. “Ashes” are not added to the food but are the residue of analytical methods and are essentially made up of minerals.
